Windwood Bulk began as Windwood Gardens in 1989. We started as a Nursery/Garden Center – Landscape Service on Three Notch Rd in Ringgold Georgia. To serve the North Georgia and Chattanooga area with quality nursery plants and Bulk products. As a garden center we were in need of good quality planting – nursery mix. We began mixing composted materials (composted for 4 months) and working with the University of Georgia in trying to come up with a planting mix to use in our poor North Georgia soil. We soon developed a planting mix that we call Windwood's Premium Planting Mix. It is great for planting flowers, annuals, perennials, shrubs trees and vegetables even on top of the ground ( no digging required). We now have Windwood's Premium Planting Mix that is "All Natural". We have not used a roto-tiller since 1992.
